  When camping water is necessary for drinking, rinsing, cooking, and showering the Clear₂O water filter blocks harmful contaminants and sediment out of your RV water tank and to improve the taste and odor of your drinking water.

The longer water is in contact with the solid carbon block, the more effective the filtration process as more time allows for more impurities to be absorbed.

The pores in our one micron solid carbon block are engineered to be consistent size and distribution. This uniformity ensures that water flows through the solid carbon block more evenly and contaminants have a higher likelihood of coming into contact with the carbon's surface, leading to more effective absorption. Meaning that water has to pass through multiple layers of carbon before exiting the filter. This extended contact with the carbon allows for a longer contact time, which is crucial for absorption to occur effectively.

In contrast, granular carbon filters often have a shallower bed, and water can flow through channels, which may lead to incomplete filtration.

Note: Always connect to a known water source and use a water pressure regulator.  Always flush the spigot before installing the CLEAR2O RV & Marine Inline Water Filter to avoid clogging filter.  Due to our superior one micron filtration solid carbon block some areas with high sediment and particulates may require a pre-filter to prevent low flow rates and clogging.  For outdoor use only.

We recommend installation of the DirtGUARD and/or the Inline Water Filter on the spigot side of the water hose versus installing on the RV water inlet fitting. 

*Note: Filter life and capacity varies depending on local water conditions and volume water used.  Do not use water that is microbiologically unsafe.  To avoid damaging your in-line filter shake out the water before the freezing starts.
